Palma, the capital city of Mallorca is 25 minutes drive away. It is a must to visit as, despite being a modern vibrant city, it has managed to retain its old town character with all its ancient charm and culture. Some of Palma’s best attractions are to be found near the port, including the Royal Palace, the Stock Exchange and the Castle of Bellver which has dominated the skyline since the 14th century.

However, Palma’s star attraction must be the Cathedral – a must for those interested in architecture, it is one of the world’s largest gothic structures. The old town of Palma fans out from the Cathedral and is a maze of narrow streets, flanked by ancient mansions and hidden squares which just beg to be explored.
